Tottenham have made a searing start to the Premier League season under Thomas Frank, with the North London side securing victory in both of their opening fixtures. The Lilywhites landed a 2-0 victory to Manchester City this weekend at the Etihad Stadium, but there has been plenty of frustration in the transfer market.

Perhaps the paradox of Frank’s Tottenham is that he seems to be making a team out of keeping with the club’s identity – more solid, more streetwise – to take them back to where they used to be.
