Lyle Menendez was denied parole in San Diego, a day after his brother Erick's freedom was rejected by commissioners in the deaths 36 years ago of their parents.

L yle Menendez will remain in prison after the California parole board rejected his bid for freedom on Friday night, a day after officials rejected his brother, Erik, for an early release.

A state panel said Erik Menendez should stay in prison for the 1989 killing of his parents and questioned the sincerity of his rehabilitation. His brother, Lyle, goes before the board on Friday.
