DETROIT — Police on June 23 identified the heavily armed suspect who was fatally shot by security after he opened fire outside a Michigan church filled with worshipers as a man who attended the church with his mother.

WAYNE, MI – Police have identified a man who was shot and killed by a security guard after he opened fire outside a Michigan church. According to the Associated Press, 31-year-old Brian Anthony Browning was killed outside CrossPointe Community Church in Wayne on Sunday.
