Thailand’s army is warning that it may have to“exercise the right of self-defense” in response to continuing incidents it blames on Cambodia in which Thai soldiers patrolling along the two countries’ border have been wounded by land mines.

Members of the Asean Interim Observer Team (IOT) departed Phnom Penh on Thursday morning (Aug 14) for a tour of Battambang, Banteay Meanchey and Preah Vihear provinces, where they will assess the implementation of the current ceasefire agreement.

Supply chain concerns may have been a major factor in pausing the recent conflict.
