BritBox drama stars deaf actress Rose Ayling-Ellis as a young working-class woman enlisted by London detectives to help them by lip-reading during surveillance of a dangerous burglary gang.

Ellis, who stars in the TV crime drama “Code of Silence,” wants the world to understand that deaf people live complex and varied lives.
