Cuba will free its longest-held political prisoner, jailed since 1985, and send him to Spain as the government continues to ship opponents out of the country.

Cuba uses the oil to meet two-thirds of its daily energy demand. The U.S. Geological Survey has estimated 5 billion barrels, but its study does not include all of Cuba's part of the Gulf of Mexico.
