Bruce will fittingly join the Nationals for a “Pups in the Park” game on Saturday. Fans can purchase special tickets to receive a pet bandana, with proceeds supporting the Humane Rescue Alliance.

Dogs always bring out the crowds. The Washington Nationals hosted pups at the park day at Nationals Park and, as part of the promotion, they called up Bruce the Bat Dog from Triple-A Rochester.

Over the weekend, Bruce the Bat Dog was called up from Triple-A Rochester Red Wings to make his major league debut in a pre-game bat retrieval ceremony at Nationals Park.
