The Boston Red Sox have decided to demote veteran pitcher to the bullpen after a disastrous season, manager Alex Cora announced on Friday.

Red Sox prospect Jhostynxon Garcia – who is fittingly nicknamed "The Password" – has been called up to the big leagues. Boston called up the outfielder from Triple-A Worcester on Thursday ahead of a crucial four-game series against the New York Yankees.

The Red Sox are down a couple of men at Triple-A Worcester with Cooper Criswell (elbow) and Vaughn Grissom (foot) both being placed on the injured list.
