On Wednesday, Fieldhouse Files’ Scott Agness reported that Clark had “tweaked” her left ankle during a workout in Phoenix. As confirmed by Chole Peterson of the Indy Star, the injury was a “very mild” bone bruise and won’t affect her timeline as she is still working on recovering from a right groin injury.
The WNBA set a new regular-season attendance record on Friday, reaching the 2.43 million mark, per Colin Salao of Front Office Sports. The previous record was 2,364,736 fans back in 2002.
Sophie Cunningham, Sydney Colson and Aari McDonald are out for the season, while Caitlin Clark has missed 13 straight games with a groin injury.
Clark has missed ample time for the Fever, putting head coach Stephanie White into difficult situations, having to deal with several lineup changes in her first year leading the team.
The Indiana Fever are currently sitting sixth in the WNBA standings with a 19-16 record despite Caitlin Clark's injury woes this season.
