The husband of a missing woman who was found dead in the Angeles National Forest has fled to Peru, according to the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department.

Sheylla Gutierrez, 33, who was reported missing in California, was found dead in a forest on Aug. 16. Her body was found on Sunday, over the side of an embankment in Angeles National Forest.
