There’s going to be plenty of hard throwing in the first pitching matchup between Pittsburgh’s Paul Skenes and Milwaukee’s Jacob Misiorowski. Just don’t expect too much hard contact.

Jacob Misiorowski is taking the mound for the Brewers for his third big league start. Fellow 23-year-old fireballer Paul Skenes will be opposite him for the Pirates. It's not often you see a pitching matchup of this caliber between pitchers at such a young age.

In 2022, Misiorowski tore it up at Crowder Community College and caught the attention of the LSU coaching staff. The righty earned an LSU offer and committed to the Tigers. But before he made it to campus, the Brewers made Misiorowski a second-round pick. Had Misiorowski joined LSU, he would have been in the same rotation as Skenes.
