Microsoft has announced a second generation of its Surface Hub 2S interactive whiteboard will be arriving later this year, equipped with a new Teams Rooms on Windows operating system.

The largest Surface available for an average consumer is the 15-inch Surface Laptop 5, and the only module you can replace as easily as the compute module in the Surface Hub 2 is the built-in SSD.

Microsoft is touting Surface Hub 3 as having security via "BitLocker, Trusted Platform Module 2.0 (TPM), and cloud-powered security with Microsoft Defender," per the "What's New" document.

The Surface Hub 2S has an upgrade path to the current version 3 model by swapping the Compute Cartridge to the Surface Hub 3 unit. Alternatively, users can opt for a free migration to Teams Rooms ...
