Djokovic has not played a match that counted since the semifinal loss to Sinner in the French Open. He showed fight against the world's top-ranked player, but ran out of gas during his fourth-straight loss to the 23-year-old phenom.

Djokovic has won seven championships at the grass-court major and come oh-so-close to making his total eight — the number Roger Federer won, and one behind Martina Navratilova's record nine women's trophies — but lost in the 2023 and 2024 finals to Carlos Alcaraz.

With his first match of 2025 Wimbledon scheduled next week, Djokovic spoke to reporters Saturday and admitted that of all the Grand Slams, Wimbledon represents his best chance to capture his increasingly elusive 25th title.
